Director, IT (Tewksbury, MA)
We are seeking a special candidate with an excellent blend of business acumen, technology vision, leadership skills and IT functional expertise. Reporting to the VP, Finance and IT, key responsibilities include:
- Lead initiatives to strengthen access to and reporting of a variety of revenue, financial and operation metrics in support of business growth
- Work closely with the departments to plan enhancements to ERP system and align implementation with the functions of each business area
- Establish, plan, prioritize and administer the overall technology policies and goals for the information technology department
- Develop annual and long term information technology business plans to support the business strategies
- Direct IT operations including infrastructure support and technical support for a geographically diverse user community and customer base, network and systems support, and key corporate initiatives to improve productivity and streamline operations
- Provide and foster a team of world-class customer service to its end-users and vendors
- Responsible for the direction and deliverables of an IT team consisting of systems administrator, applications developers, and helpdesk support; actively manage a high caliber technology team, provide leadership, coaching and direction
- Manage the relationships with outside vendors who are key partners in the areas of hardware, software, voice/data networks and consulting services
- Provide projected budgets for software, equipment and capital expenditure
This position is ideally suited for an individual who has a track record of delivering successful solutions to business customers with strong relational database and ETL design and development experience. The candidate should have knowledge of Microsoft technologies, networking (Cisco) and database environments (Oracle). Other requirements include:
- Bachelor's degree in IT or related discipline, with a minimum of 7+ years experience leading technology teams.
- Experience within a software development environment and languages such as Perl, Java, or C++ is highly desirable
- Strong business process orientation, conceptual vision and the intellectual ability to think strategically about the technology requirements of the business three to five years out.
- Strong systems and computer skills including experience with IFS or similar ERP systems experience is desired.
- Strong leadership abilities; fair in his/her dealings with people; energetic, approachable, friendly and fun. The mental toughness to handle challenging opportunities and make difficult decisions.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills to operate in an environment with significant cross functional collaboration. A "do what it takes" attitude who is not afraid to roll up his/her sleeves and get work done without a large staff.
- Functional knowledge of Windows server, desktop and MS Exchange environments
- Business objects equivalent business intelligence experience highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and listening)
- Analytical problem solving skills, with a common sense and practical solutions orientation
- High energy level to thrive in a fast paced environment

Co-Manufacturing Manager
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Co-Manufacturing Manager to join our R&D/Manufacturing team in Tewksbury, MA as we take the company to the next level of growth.
In this position, you will report to the Vice President of R&D and be responsible for managing the manufacturing processes at each of our co-manufacturing partners' facilities. Responsibilities include:
- Partner and advise co-manufacturing partners on cost, volume, yield or quality improvements
- Track and analyze the cost of products manufactured including volume and yield analysis
- Select and source vendors for raw ingredients based on quality, availability and pricing
- Develop long term raw material souring strategies and partners. Develop innovative strategies to remove costs from raw materials by expanding sourcing opportunities.
- Determine supplier capabilities and fit to meet company's product, packaging, quality and cost requirements
- Resolve supplier related issues around cost and quality
- Act as an advisor with co-manufacturing partners on technical or manufacturing solutions to ensure adherence to company's manufacturing standards
- Lead cross-functional teams to search for, visit and qualify new co-manufacturing partners
- Liaison with cross-functional teams during new product development processes
- Develop projected products costs for annual corporate budgeting purposes and manage to budget
This position is ideally suited for an individual who is highly organized, has excellent communication and negotiation skills and enjoys traveling to manufacturing sites.
Other requirements include:
- BS degree in a Food Science, Food Technology or a similar scientific discipline. 5-7 years of food manufacturing experience
- Excellent leadership skills with strong business acumen
- Strong written, verbal and written communication skills, able to converse with multiple levels internally and externally
- Strong analytical, planning and organizational skills
- Capable working in a very fast paced and dynamic environment
- Self starter capable of working through defined projects with a "take charge" attitude
