Wellness® Donates to the Lowell (MA) Humane Society
Tewksbury, Massachusetts (November 13, 2008) - The Wellness WellPet® Foundation today announced a $2,500 donation to the Lowell (MA) Humane Society.
The Lowell Humane Society prevents cruelty to animals by providing care for homeless and distressed animals and educating the public about responsible pet ownership. The groups also stresses the importance of proper nutrition, proper exercise and proper veterinary care to help create successful relationships between people and their pets, sharing the mission of the Wellness WellPet Foundation.
Wellness' grant of $2,500 supports the Lowell Humane Society's Adoption Program. Specifically, the Lowell Humane Society will use these funds for marketing and printing costs associated with educating the community on pet safety and adoption.
"We are thrilled to have Wellness contribute to the Lowell Humane Society's Adoption Program," said Executive Director, Jill O'Connell. She continued, "The adoption program will be able to run more effectively by helping us to educate new parents on ways to give their pet a healthy and happy lifestyle".
The donation reflects the mission of Wellness' WellPet Foundation: responsibility, passion and commitment, as the company works to do the very best for the pets that provide us with unconditional love, trust and companionship.
