WellPet® Appoints Michael Cato, Director of Sales, Canada

Will strengthen focus on pet specialty retailers in Canadian market


Tewksbury, MA – (May 13, 2010) - WellPet®, home to the portfolio of premium natural pet food brands that includes Wellness®, Old Mother Hubbard®, Eagle Pack® and Holistic Select®, welcomes Michael Cato to the position of Director of Sales, Canada.


In leading WellPet’s Canadian sales division, Michael is responsible for driving overall WellPet growth in Canada, execution of the company’s strategic business plans and providing support for WellPet’s Canadian retail and distributor partners.

Michael brings more than twenty-five years of diversified sales experience in the consumer package goods, consumer healthcare and pharmaceutical industry to the company. Most recently, he served as Director of Sales, Nutritionals, at Johnson & Johnson Inc., the world’s most comprehensive and broadly based manufacturer of health care products. Prior to Johnson & Johnson Inc., Michael held senior sales positions with Schering-Plough Inc. and Glaxo-Wellcome.


Michael holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the State University of New York and lives in Oakville, Ontario, Canada with his family and two toy poodles, Jack and Lilly.
