Wellness Global Day of Service 2026: One Team. One Mission.

Our commitment to wellbeing extends beyond the food we make. It reaches into the communities we call home, the organizations we support, and the people and pets who inspire us every day.

That’s why Global Day of Service has become one of our favorite traditions.

Each year, Wellness employees around the world step away from their daily routines to volunteer alongside local organizations, making a meaningful difference. It’s an opportunity to connect as a team, give back to our communities, and put our values into action.

On May 19, 2026, Wellies across the globe came together for another incredible day of service.

Global Day of Service 2026: By the Numbers

  • 261 Wellies volunteered
  • 1,300+ volunteer hours donated
  • 39 locations served across 4 continents

Every hour spent was a step toward creating a better world for pets and the people who love them.

Beyond the Numbers

The numbers tell one story.

The people, pets, and communities impacted tell another.

Whether it was walking shelter dogs in Minnesota, helping farm animals in Belgium, packing food for families in Australia, or welcoming rescue kittens into new homes, every act of service reflected a shared belief that wellbeing extends beyond our products and into the communities we serve.

Supporting Communities Around the World

This year’s volunteer efforts reflected the many ways wellbeing shows up in our communities—from caring for animals and protecting the environment to supporting food security and helping neighbors in need.

Europe: Caring for Animals and Communities

In Belgium, Wellness volunteers partnered with organizations focused on both animal welfare and environmental stewardship.

Teams supported Verts de Terre, helping improve the quality of life for senior and disabled farm animals by building fencing, digging trenches, and creating enrichment spaces. In Antwerp, volunteers joined a river clean-up effort with Stormkop, an organization that inspires children through programs combining art, science, sustainability, and adventure.

In Veendam, volunteers worked on a variety of community projects, including caring for a local petting zoo and park, planting a bee-friendly garden, supporting local animal organizations, preserving a historic church, and assisting elderly and disabled residents.

Asia-Pacific: Making an Impact Across the Region

Across APAC, Wellness volunteers supported causes ranging from animal welfare to environmental conservation and food assistance.

Teams helped care for animals through the SPCA, participated in preservation efforts along Taiwan’s Northeast and Yilan Coast National Scenic Area, and joined community clean-up activities in Japan.

Volunteers also partnered with CARE International Japan to sort donated goods and worked alongside Foodbank NSW & ACT in Australia to organize and pack food supplies for local communities.

Massachusetts: Supporting Animals, Veterans, and Food Security

In Burlington, Massachusetts, volunteers partnered with organizations focused on animal care, sustainable agriculture, veteran support, and food security.

Teams assisted the Animal Rescue League, supported facility operations at Operation Delta Dog, and helped care for horses at NEER North.

Others worked in community gardens, served meals, and supported regenerative farming efforts at Appleton Farms, helping strengthen local food systems and improve access to nutritious food.

Minnesota: Continuing Meaningful Partnerships

In South Saint Paul, Wellness continued several longstanding volunteer partnerships while welcoming a new organization to this year’s efforts.

For the fourth consecutive year, volunteers worked alongside Eastside Meals on Wheels, supporting meal delivery services for older adults and individuals throughout the East Metro area.

Teams also partnered with Avivo on community improvement projects and worked with Pet Haven to organize supplies, create enrichment toys, and prepare for upcoming rescue events.

This year, volunteers also supported the Animal Humane Society by walking dogs awaiting adoption and assisting with shelter operations, helping provide comfort and care for animals as they wait for their forever homes.

Arkansas: Helping Shelter Pets Find New Beginnings

In Decatur, Arkansas, Wellness volunteers spent the day supporting the Bella Vista Animal Shelter.

The shelter provides care, safety, medical support, and second chances for lost and homeless animals throughout the community. By assisting with daily operations and animal care, our team was proud to support an organization dedicated to helping pets find loving homes.

More Than a Day of Service

While Global Day of Service takes place on a single day, its impact extends far beyond a few hours of volunteering.

It’s a reminder that creating wellbeing requires all of us. It happens when we invest in our communities, support local organizations, care for animals, protect natural spaces, and lend a helping hand where it’s needed most.

Most importantly, it’s a chance for Wellies around the world to come together around a shared purpose.

To every employee who volunteered their time, energy, and heart this year: thank you.

Together, we contributed more than 1,300 hours of service, strengthened communities across four continents, and made a positive impact for people and pets alike.

One team. One mission. One day dedicated to making a difference.
